Kevin Cunningham claims Garcia vs. Broner could be an event
Adrien Broner, at 34, has been on a journey to rebuild his career with his last two fights following the loss to Pacquiao in 2019. Understandably, his sporadic fight schedule, with bouts occurring every two years, has impacted the form that he was known for. However, with the support of promoter Don King, Broner has recently secured two victories over Bill Hutchinson and Jovanie Santiago, signaling a positive trajectory in his comeback.

Given this momentum, the prospect of Broner stepping into the ring against Ryan Garcia is gaining traction. For that reason, Cunningham is trying his best to push it through as well. He wrote on the X app, alongside a poster of the two, “There are very few fighters in the sport that are universally recognized the 🌎 over @Adrien Broner and @Ryan Garcia would be bigger than a fight. It would be an event!”
In addition to this, Ryan Garcia has two other opponents lined up. Currently, there’s a lot of drama surrounding ‘King Ry’ as everyone wants to benefit from the PPV sales generated by Garcia’s fights.

Haney or Romero or Cruz
After beating Oscar Duarte, Ryan Garcia initially called out Devin Haney for a bout. However, he surprised everyone by expressing interest in facing Romero instead. Then, a twist occurred when Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz, called out Garcia for a fight. So, Ryan Garcia is still weighing up on his offers and figuring out who he should fight next.
In 2022, Ryan Garcia boldly called out Cruz in a video, igniting the prospect of a clash between the two. However, at that time, Cruz had prior commitments preventing the matchup. Now, with both fighters free from other obligations, the opportunity has presented itself for them to face off.

Cruz’s promoter, Sean Gibbons, has expressed eagerness for the bout, emphasizing that Garcia, who initially “talked sh*t about him and talked about Cruz ducking people,” appears less enthusiastic now. It remains to be seen what route will Garcia take to choose his next opponent. What are your thoughts about this? Tell us in the comments section.
