Tyson Fury Drops Brutal Truth Bomb on Andy Ruiz Jr.: ‘Wilder Will Hit Him With One Shot and Knock Him Out Cold’

In the month of November, the WBC officially announced an eliminator fight between Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr. to determine the mandatory challenge next for Tyson Fury. On October 15, after a year of absence from the ring since his third fight against ‘The Gypsy King’, Wilder made his comeback with a knockout win over Robert Helenius at Barclays Center, Brooklyn.

While Deontay Wilder prepares to meet Andy Ruiz, Tyson Fury goes up against Derek Chisora in yet another trilogy fight. Ahead of his bout with Chisora at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on December 3, Fury spoke about the Wilder vs. Andy Ruiz Jr. eliminator fight.

Brutally honest Tyson Fury acknowledged disliking Deontay Wilder and favoured Andy Ruiz. However, speaking of Wilder’s abilities, he confessed how ‘The Bronze Bomber’ was capable of hitting Ruiz Jr. with one shot and knocking the same out in the boxing ring. Although he wanted Ruiz Jr. to win, Fury said, “Probably Wilder will hit him with one shot and knock him out cold. But I hope Andy smashes his ass.”

In their three meetings, Fury defeated Wilder twice. Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder was one of the most anticipated trilogies in the history of heavyweight boxing. In the same interaction, Fury opened up about being “sick of ” Wilder whom he fought thrice in the pro ring.

While Fury acknowledged the possibility of Wilder knocking out Andy Ruiz with only one shot in the ring, he also shed light on disliking Wilder in his personal life. According to ‘The Gypsy King’, Wilder is “a piece of sh!t as a person”. In addition, Fury is tired of fighting Wilder in boxing.

“I’m sick of looking at Deontay Wilder. I need another man to train for. I need another guy to fight. We fought three times already. I think the guy’s a piece of sh!t as a person. I don’t like him,” said Fury.
