Jake Paul and Tommy Fury concluded their final press conference this Thursday, and will now face off against each other on Feb 26. Since, all the trash-talking, promotion, and contract deals are done, all that’s left for the fighters is to lace up, get inside the ring and throw punches. The press conference was attended by a lot of big names in boxing. There were even bigger claims made by the fighters as talks about the winner getting all the money from the fight echoed through the halls of the press conference.

The conference had the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’, Mike Tyson, the undisputed lightweight world champion Devin Haney, and ‘Del Boy War’, Derek Chisora as part of the audience. Chisora is also the event promoter of the Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury fight and has been hyping the fight since the start.

Also, Tommy Fury’s elder brother, Tyson Fury, joined the conference, and he even had comments about the ‘double or nothing’ clause proposed by Jake Paul.

Moreover, Mike Tyson talked about Tyson Fury’s prospects and also gave his predictions regarding the same. Recently, he gave a shocking 3-word prediction for Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury’s super fight.

‘Gypsy King’ calls the ‘double or nothing’ clause’ just talking’

Tyson Fury talked about this clause and exposed the reality of this wager made by Jake Paul which was accepted by Tommy Fury right then and there during the conference. But “Gypsy King’ did not believe in the authenticity of the claim as he believed that it was just ‘talk’ done in the heat of the moment.

So the reporter said to Tyson that Tommy Fury will double the amount of money in his pocket if he wins the fight.

Tyson Fury replied that it cannot be called a ‘done deal’, since it was just just ‘talk’. He immediately rubbished the claims of ‘Double or Nothing’ clause, adding that there is no contract signed on those terms.

Doubling your purse, in reality, is probably not going to happen if there is no contract signed, does it?” Fury said.

It is just plain and simple trash-talk in the hopes of creating intrigue for the fight. It doesn’t have any significance outside the realm of press conference shenanigans.

Tyson Fury supports the new terms of the contract

Then the reporter tried to scoop out Fury’s opinion on the matter further, as he asked Fury about his take on this clause. And Tyson Fury supported Tommy to go ahead with it, as it’s always better to get money doubled. Then, the reporter asked him again to confirm if he agrees with it.

Tyson Fury said, “100% I tried it on, a million times, everybody I’ve ever fought.” laughing as he said those words.

Then he further talked about how fighters are scared to get entangled with Fury with such type of clause.

He said, “Unfortunately I’ve had 30 odd fights never lost, so they don’t wanna risk it, do they? Don’t wanna risk it for a chocolate biscuit.

So, Fury is in full support of Tommy Fury agreeing with these new terms. However, if not contractually agreed upon, the ‘double or nothing’ clause’ is just banter.
