In a matter of hours, the unbeaten and undisputed lightweight champion of the world, Devin Haney would step inside the ring with Vasyl Lomachenko, the former unified lightweight champion, and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. Ahead of the fight, in an interview, Haney recently stated that Lomachenko would fight dirty against him and that he was prepared for the same. However, at the final face-off, Haney could not help but powerfully shove Lomachenko and exhibit a break in composure for the first time.

As Loma approached Haney and looked the latter in the eye, ‘The Dream’ began speaking to ‘High-Tech’. And in an unprecedented turn of events, he powerfully extended his arms and shoved Lomachenko, surprising others present at the venue. In his latest interview with Stephen A. Smith, Devin Haney branded Vasyl Lomachenko as a “future Hall-of-Famer“ and even stated that a victory against the Ukrainian boxer meant everything to him. However, Haney also stated that he was “levels above this guy” and wanted to “make a statement“. Maybe, Haney wants to start delivering his statement from the final face-off itself and hence the surprising shove. Anyway, following the incident, while a number of fans showed concern for Lomachenko, others condemned Haney. “Hope Loma isn’t hurt from this. It’s very easy to suffer a cervical sprain,” said one fan.

According to another, “Loma should postpone the fight. That neck area gon be sore tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣“.
