Conor Benn has a busy year ahead of him. After the Chris Eubank Jr. fight fell out, Benn is now set to face Peter Dobson on Saturday, February 3, in The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Benn, maintaining an undefeated record of 22-0 with 14 knockouts, made his comeback after a 17-month hiatus in Orlando. He secured a 10-round points victory over the resilient Mexican Rodolfo Orozco.

Amid all of this, Eddie Hearn blamed Eubank for the failure of the ‘All-British’ bout. Hearn called Eubank delusional as according to him, the fight would have made him more money than anything he has ever done. Regardless, the CEO of Matchroom has serious plans for Benn.

Three fights in a year is no joke whatsoever. Most professional fighters take two fights, some just take one throughout the year. Hearn said, “So we’re already in talks with some big names in April, but he’s got to come through Dobson.” This means that all future fights hinge on him, overcoming Dobson in February. The clip ends with Hearn saying, “We want to keep him nice and busy,” which definitely shows Hearn’s commitment to securing fights for his boxer.

Harlem Eubank steps up to fight Conor Benn

Harlem Eubank has asserted his belief in defeating Benn, stepping into the spotlight after Eubank Jr.’s failed matchups with Benn. Originally set to face Eubank Jr. in October 2022, the bout was canceled due to a failed drug test and subsequent negotiations breakdown. Eddie Hearn expressed dissatisfaction with Eubank Jr.’s handling of the situation. Previous social media clashes between the parties never materialized into a fight. However, Harlem Eubank, Chris’ cousin and a boxer himself, in a December 31 interview with Boxing Social, expressed optimism about facing ‘The Destroyer’.

Confident in his abilities, Eubank suggested he could emerge victorious against Benn in any manner, drawing parallels with a past fight where he defied expectations. “I think I can take it any which way. The last guy I thought had never been stopped…but I hurt him multiple times. I box, I could fight, and that’s the same way I take any fight…I think I can outbox him,” said Harlem Eubank.
