In a striking twist of events in ‘The Giant Killer’ Lorenzo Medina’s bout against Joshua Temple, the loss was celebrated. Medina, having experienced a prior knockdown, delivered a formidable right hand in the conclusive round. The force of the punch visibly stunned Temple to the extent that he grappled to retain command over his legs. He even stumbled backward toward the ropes in a precarious manner. He absorbed a relentless barrage of punches from his opponent. Despite the clear dominance displayed by Medina, the referee eventually intervened, mercifully stopping the fight. Yet, the aftermath unfolded in an unforeseen manner as Temple, visibly affected by the impactful right hand. Somehow he perceived himself as the victor. Engaging in erratic movements around the ring, he even went so far as to pose for photographs with his hands triumphantly raised. The boxer created a confusing scene as if he were the winner.
His actions suggested a disconnect from the reality of the fight’s outcome, as he seemingly required little assistance from his corner immediately following the bout. The confusion and celebration persisted until he was eventually placated. Meanwhile, Medina expressed disagreement with the referee’s decision regarding his knockdown.

Lorenzo Medina is hellbent on his knockdown being a mere slip
In the midst of the match, ‘The Giant Killer’ Medina encountered a challenging situation when a second-round slip was contentious. It led the referee to controversially deem it a knockdown. This decision introduced an element of adversity for Medina, presenting a hurdle to overcome. Despite this setback, Temple faced a distinct fate, finding himself on the canvas three times in the rounds that followed. Curiously, each instance of Temple falling was ruled as a slip.
This didn’t sit well with the fighter, and he even discussed his knockdown in the post-fight interview. He said, “Absolutely not, first of all that was a trip. He stepped on my foot. Second of all I didn’t lose any rounds and third of all before we go any further I want to give the biggest shout out to Joshua Temple’s wife for supporting me in the last few days.”
