It’s pretty well known how Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather Jr. get a kick out of dancing. The latter even participated in the reality dance show ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ in 2007. However, it seems Anthony ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor finds similar pleasure in singing. So audiences who flocked to the weigh-in for his fight with social media content creator Salt Papi might have been shocked when they came across a crooning Taylor.
Misfit Boxing’s MF & DAZN: X Series 007 is the year’s second installment of the increasingly popular crossover or influencer boxing. X Series 004 took place on January 14. The tournament had seven fights, including the bout between KSI and Faze Temperrr. ‘Pretty Boy’ Taylor faced Idris Virgo, while Salt Papi fought Josh Brueckner. However, the outcomes varied for both. While Taylor lost unanimously, Papi staged a massive upset by knocking out the professional mixed martial artist Brueckner.

Now, the two will meet in the ring at opposite corners for a three-round Cruiserweight bout. Fans may cherish the weigh-in as the two fighters met on friendly terms. When the duo got over with shaking hands and hugged, Taylor asked for some music, “…yo DJ, play my music!” Soon he started singing a number to everyone’s cheers and hoots. And within no time, they saw Salt Papi swaying to the tune with some lithe movements.

Outside of the fun and frolic, the fight remains crucial for Taylor. Regarding professional boxing, his record remains at two wins at the cost of three losses. But it hasn’t been very reassuring, even when it boils down to exhibition fights. During the last four bouts, he won only once against Ashley Tebi during X Series 002. Out of the remaining three, the non-scoring match with Jack Fincham ended up a draw.
On the other hand, Salt Papi is riding high on the back of three consecutive wins, of which two came his way through knockouts. KSI versus Joe Fournier and Deji Olatunji versus Swarmz form the two main fights of X Series 007. Besides the Papi and Taylor, other undercard bouts include Tennessee Thresh versus Paigey Cakey, ViruZz versus DK Money, and Lil Bellsy versus Lil Kymchii.
