We know Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali for their aggressive approach to boxing inside the ring, which elevated the sport to its apex. It was this virtue of their game that made their prime the blueprint of an ideal boxer, along with being the most debatable one. Interestingly, once Tyson compared himself to Ali and got a brutal one-line reality check.

‘The Baddest man on the Planet’ took to an interview and reflected on what he feels about Ali. Why is Ali the greatest of all time?

He said, “And that’s how I feel about Ali.”

“My ego is f**king big I’m the greatest of all time and then I look at him and realize that I am not.

Furthermore, Tyson elaborated on the common gesture of all great people. He said, “Isn’t that crazy? Being humble like that, all greats get humble. All the people in history, they have to be humble in order to be great.”

How was the bond between Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali?

The most impactful boxers that ever laced gloves, Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson, were fighters of the different time periods. When Tyson made his debut, Ali had paused his career.

Interestingly, Ali admitted that even in his prime, he cannot beat Mike Tyson. According to Ali, he was fast, but that was not enough to beat the lethal power of Tyson.

However, ‘Iron’ Mike showed respect and denied believing that he could beat Ali. He confessed Ali will always remain the greatest.

Such mutual respect duo shared throughout their life.
