Shane Mosley Jr. just successfully won his second fight at Middleweight. Although Joshua Conley was 4 lbs heavier than Mosley Jr., the latter was able to win almost effortlessly. Following this victory over Conley, Mosley Jr., 22-4-0 [12KOs], is hopeful that he will soon have an opportunity to fight for a major title in the division.
Anyway, as Mosley Jr. headed for a drug test following his latest win, he spoke about his experience with Conley in detail. Here is how Mosley Jr. defeated Conley after the latter struggled to see throughout the fight due to an unfortunate cut on his left eye.

Mosley Jr. won the bout via RTD after Conley’s left eye closed following the sixth round. With this victory over Joshua Conley, Shane Mosley Jr. feels he is closer to a major title in the middleweight division. And on being asked about his experience with Conley in the ring, Mosley Jr. referred to a point in the 6th round of the fight and said, “Once I saw him turn the right hand on, I could tell right away that he was taken away.”

Joshua Conley fought with a cut on his left eye
From the very beginning, Conley fought with his guard down. In addition, he hesitated and allowed Mosely Jr. to get in. And to add to his misery, Conley received a cut on his left eye before even the first round came to an end. On the other hand, Mosley Jr. used his jabs to keep Conley at bay. And given the fact that Conely’s left eye pretty much closed before the 2nd round began, it became obvious that Mosley Jr. would win.

Despite Conley’s unprecedented injury, Mosley Jr. fought with a slow place. However, in the 6th round, Mosley Jr. hit Conley with a strong right hand as the latter struggled to see. Although Conley fought back, Mosley Jr. kept throwing the right hand which Conley’s left eye kept failing to see. Eventually, completely exhausted, Conley simply collapsed on the canvas in the 6th round. At this, despite nothing solid from Conley, in a questionable move, the referee kept the fight going. Finally, at the end of round 6, Conley’s corner stopped the fight.
