WATCH: Sylvester Stallone Teaches Demi Lovato Boxing in Rare Clip

Hollywood A-lister Sylvester Stallone is one of the few action stars that have taken a huge liking to combat sports. Stallone rose to fame with his boxing movie franchise ‘Rocky’, which is to this day remains the most popular boxing movie. Moreover, the Hollywood actor even trained with professional boxers for his role and knows his way with a pair of gloves on.

Even at 76, Stallone has managed to stay fit and active, still training in the sport whenever he can. However, he can also be a coach and impart his knowledge to other people. This was on full display after he was seen teaching pop-star Demi Lovato the sweet science in a rare video.

In the video, Lovato looks to be in sparring with Stallone who was teaching her the basics of the sport. Following this, she even landed a clean punch, after which Stallone hilariously faked a knockout. The two then hug it out, after which Stallone teaches her how to dodge punches. This was a great display of humbleness and friendship from ‘Rocky’ who has been a great ambassador for the sport.

Sylvester Stallone details how working with Hulk Hogan left him badly injured

In an Instagram post back in 2017, Stallone narrated an incident during the shooting of Rocky 3. The incident also involved former WWE champion Hulk Hogan, who was playing the role of Terry Bollea, aka Thunderlips. In the post, he revealed that he was performing a stunt with Hogan that left him badly injured and damaged his shoulder. He also added that this move left him on the ground for 10 minutes.

I remember a violent move where he threw me into the corner, charged across the ring like an ENRAGED bull and leaped so amazingly high above me, that his shinbone actually came down like a giant tree on my collarbone, and I tumbled to the floor. I was afraid to look at my shoulder for about 10 minutes,” he wrote.

Despite Stallone’s efforts to make the movie as real as possible, he had to do it at the price of sacrificing his own body. Moreover, he also got to realize the dangers that come with competing in combat sports.
