The Devin Haney and Bradley Martyn street fight conversation seems to be going places. The latter is a bodybuilder and social media influencer who weighs roughly 245 pounds. Haney, who appeared on his podcast Raw Talk, as a guest, seems to disagree that the bodybuilder would have a natural upper hand in the street fight. The amusing exchange, ever since, caught on with discussions and arguments over who would win if such a fight did occur.

The conversation began with Martyn’s question of whether Haney ever fought bigger fighters. The latter replied, “All the time.” Next, Martyn asked whether Haney would spar with him, and the response came in the affirmative. The moment the discussion converged onto a street fight, Martyn said, “I’d beat the f*** outta you in a street fight. To which Haney replied, “I would kill you, bro!… Around my walk-around weight, I would kill you.” Yesterday, Haney shared a video clip of a bodybuilder trying his hand at boxing with Bradley Martyn.

The Raw Talk host replied early today, “If [you] think for a second, I [will] stand n try n box u. Do boxers train [not to] get tackled and mauled by someone 110lb more than them?” Since it came today early in the morning, the post has received over half-a-million views. A few among the Twitterati decided to share their standpoints.

Fans react to Haney vs Martyn; Post receives surprising comments

The following user seems confident that Martyn will “destroy” Devin in no time. He reckons that to feel safe, even Floyd Mayweather Jr. surrounds himself with many heavies.

The following user Brock added that Martyn is much more agile and nimble than the bodybuilder appearing in the video. Additionally, the former’s prowess in grappling would take care of all the disadvantages.

But the following user seemed a bit skeptical. He wonders whether Devin Haney holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, something he might have kept secret for years.

User Jimmy wants to remind Haney about the varying weight class for fights. Although Haney is speedy with his hands, Martyn may not be that bad either.

One user has a question for Bradley Martyn. He wants to know whether the bodybuilder has ‘sharp claws’ and a ‘vicious bite’ to harm Haney. But, unfortunately, he will probably have to do more than that to claim victory over a swift-as-an-arrow boxer.

Outside of this entertaining chatter, it seems Haney is well-poised to defend his titles from the shrewd tactician Vasiliy Lomachenko on May 20. The bout is counted as one of the year’s big ones. Lomachenko is sitting in the twilight years of his career. But for twenty-four-year-old Haney, many promising prospects await, both the current divisional level and the next at 140 lbs.
