With four super middleweight titles on the line, and scheduled for twelve rounds, the fight went the whole distance. Canelo overpowered ‘GGG’ and won the fight via a unanimous decision to defend his belts. Talking about the fight, Alvarez maintained a tall guard and demonstrated fast jabs in the ring. Golovkin occupied the center of the ring and looked for bigger and more accurate shots. There were moments in the match when the duo exchanged heavy shots. Both the fighters used and landed their left hooks to the head.

Following the end of Canelo GGG 3, the UFC welterweight contender, Jorge Masvidal, took to Facebook and said, “#Canelo and #GGG put on a great fight.
