Shane Mosley Jr. visited a school to meet some young fans ahead of his fight. The students made banners and posters to cheer for him. They were ready with their phones to capture the magical moment when their idol walked in to greet them and share his experience and learnings with them.

De la Hoya, the Golden Boy promoter found this gesture endearing and made sure he let Mosley know of what he felt about it. “What respect I have for you my man. Everyone who showed up for those kids are a class act. See you at the press conference tomorrow,” commented De La Hoya on the post. Since the Garcia vs. Duarte event is happening under Golden Boy Promotions, he was excited for Mosley to be a part of the undercard and looked forward to seeing him at the press conference.
