From Tommy Fury’s standpoint, there remain two vital rematches. One with Jake Paul, and the other with KSI. However, his dad, a leading voice within his camp, John Fury has come forward to let the world know which of the two fighters would get a rematch against his son and who would not, and the reasons for it remain deeply embedded in “bad blood” as father Fury calls it.

Both Jake Paul and KSI, the torchbearers of influencer boxing, fought against Tommy Fury this year. In February, the Fury gave Paul his career’s first defeat via a split decision. Later, in October, he also took his fight against KSI, defeating ‘JJ’ via a unanimous decision. Both Paul and JJ have expressed their interest in a rematch with Fury. However, while the former’s request has seen some progression, KSI may not get the opportunity.

John Fury echoes a loud ‘No’ to KSI vs. Tommy Fury rematch

In an unfiltered conversation with Seconds Out, John Fury made it clear that his younger son will never again fight KSI. He remarked, “The only man that’s not welcome at the table is not a man, is him, KSI. He is not welcome. Not now. Not ever. He’s done. We don’t want to do business with a spitter. Too much bad blood. He’s an ignorant man, and there’s no more business.”

He has a reason or two to be mad at KSI. In the days leading to their Manchester clash, during the open workout session before the fight, JJ was seen spitting at the senior Fury member after the latter hurled a bottle at him. He added, “Not for $1 trillion with him. I can’t say a good thing about him. We’ll leave him where he belongs. In front of his computer. Talking to some kids.”

However, he does not mind a rematch with Jake Paul. He said, “If Jake Paul wants to box Tommy next, that won’t be a problem.” In the wake of his maiden loss, the ‘Problem Child’ had indicated some interest in a rematch with Fury. But now, since the Fury family patriarch has fanned the flames of a potential rematch, is Paul ready to take it?

Jake Paul eyes title fight

Jake Paul is past fights for the sake of them. He now eyes fights that would lead him to a title. Perhaps, on these grounds, he’s given up on the idea of a Tommy Fury rematch? Well, unless it gives him a fair chance at a title. On the 15th of December, 26-year-old Paul defeated Andre August via first-round knockout. At the post-fight press conference, Paul outlined his yearning to bag a title fight next.

Seconding the murmurs for a clash against professional British boxer, Viddal Riley, he said, “Yeah, for sure, that can happen. That’d be interesting. And he [Riley] has a name, a profile. And that’s something that excites me for sure.”
