It is not the first time that boxing purists have criticized influencer boxing. KSI, the Paul brothers, and the rest of the influencers who stepped into the boxing ring had to also face the wrath of many boxing fans. They are making millions of dollars out of the fights they undertake. However, some fans have complained about their skills which do not match the ones of ‘real boxers’. Recently, the lackluster KSI-Tommy Fury match and Logan Paul-Dillon Danis match left fans disappointed with their performances.
Tony Bellew, however, has a different take on this matter. Though the retired fighter himself was not very impressed with the show they put up, he has a reason to thank them.

How are KSI and Logan Paul helping the ‘computer geeks’?
The former world champion while speaking about the Misfits event was careful to not spew any hate. The two are neither professional boxers nor have they had the kind of rigorous training required to cause any serious damage to their opponents. Because of this reason, Bellew believes, they do not really pose a threat to the other and cannot land a sturdy punch as well. He did acknowledge their efforts, however. “There’s no real danger to them coz they’re not the biggest of punchers. They’re not the best boxers but they’re having a go.”
Bellew was grateful to these influencers for getting the ‘computer geeks’ out of their homes and into boxing gyms. “Do you know how many kids these are attracting to boxing gyms? It’s a whole different demographic here that we’re talking about. It’s a whole different set of fans and people that wanna walk to boxing gyms. You’ve got kids now, geeks on computers.” Somewhat a gamer himself, he underscored the impact of seeing their loved icons battle it out in the ring. This pulls more fans for the pugilists as well. He also lauded KSI for the blood and sweat he puts into his work.

Will KSI finally face Jake Paul?
Two days after the grand fight took place, Jake Paul announced he would be giving his fans another show on December 15. Though the opponent has not been confirmed yet, can you take guess who is the top contender? Paul has invited Tommy Fury for a rematch citing the same reason that KSI had behind fighting him.
KSI, himself has emerged as a betting favourite for the new opponent. Derek Brunson and Dillon Danis are not too far behind. Paul and KSI have been playfully hinting at a potential match for several years. However, KSI recently fought Tommy Fury at Misfits PRIME and lost via a majority decision. Due to this recent bout, KSI might not be eager to jump into another fight right away.
