Deontay Wilder is on the lookout for his next opponent, as it’s been a few months since he’s stepped inside the ring now. He last fought Robert Helenius back in October 2022, which he won in the very first round by Knockout. Now, Wilder has many prospects for his next bout, but nothing hasn’t been official yet. But recently, a video came out where Deontay Wilder was having fun in the boxing gym as he was preparing for his next opponent. There are many conversations regarding his next opponent, as a few months back, he promised his fans to get back in the ring soon.
So, Deontay Wilder is definitely going to have about this year. Now would it be against Andy Ruiz Jr? This is a highly anticipated fight, as it has been stalled for a long time now. And both fighters were also in a conversation with each other regarding the bout at one point. So the fans are hopeful that Wilder could go against Ruiz Jr next.

Deontay Wilder was visibly training hard in the gym
The CEO of TMB Promotions, Rick Morones Jr, shared the video clip on his Instagram story, where Deontay Wilder is working on his jabs, as he’s also trash-talking with the mitts in a funny way. Wilder hilariously asks the mitts a question. “Who’s your daddy?” Then goes on to say, “Show me.”
This story was further shared by the famous boxing reporter Michael Benson, on Twitter. Now, even Benson remarked that Wilder was training for his next fight in his tweet. This could mean that Wilder might soon announce his next opponent after a gap of almost 6 months.

Before this, he had teased his fight as well, regarding the next fight. So the fans have been asking Wilder about his next fight for a long time and went on to suggest the names of the boxers he could fight, like Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr. Some even asked him to have a fourth fight against Tyson Fury. And recently, Wilder even promised to knock out Anthony Joshua in Saudi Arabia.
Wilder teased his next fight a few months ago
Wilder addressed his fans and told them that he’s been reading their comments. And he knows that they need him to make an appearance inside the ring again. He promised them that he’d be coming back soon, and get a great worthy opponent for his next bout.
So, he made a tweet to ask his fan’s perspective. In the tweet, he asked his fans about how soon they wanted him to get back in the ring and then assured them that he’d do whatever his fans want.

In the next instance, he asked his fans another question about the ideal venue of the fight, and where they think the fight should happen.

Wilder has still not announced his next opponent, but it’s sure that there are a lot of talks going on behind the scenes, and Wilder will definitely work out something as soon as possible.
