In a matter of weeks, Jake Paul will be entering the ring again. On March 2, he will fight Ryan Bourland. The co-main event of the Amanda SerranoNina Meinke headliner takes place in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Bourland is the third professional boxer Paul will fight in his four-year-old career. Hence, he is leaving no stone unturned to begin the year on a triumphant note. It involves sacrifice. Long time periods away from loved ones, including someone special.

Paul, facing frequent flak for picking retired MMA fighters for opponents, tested his skill against a professional boxer last February. But Tommy Fury proved too hard a nut to crack. Hence, ‘The Problem Child’ retreated to fight another former UFC fighter before taking the second professional boxer by year-end, André August. As he knocked out the 35-year-old, semi-retired boxer in the first round, Jake Paul finally had the success he longed for so badly. Following up on the triumph, he will now face a former National Golden Glove champion. Before that, he must inform his beloved when he will return.

The world speed skating champion wrote, “Hey, babe, when will you be home?” It followed a few more question marks, “???,” before once again seeking an answer, “Babe?” Jake Paul, taking inspiration from five-time Mr. Olympia Chris Bumstead, though, responded back, “Won’t be home until later, @juttaleerdam. March 2nd is 3 weeks away.” Sometime later, Leerdam replied back optimistically, “Almost baby.

The power couple met over Instagram as the year 2022 inched towards closure. Subsequently, after a meet-up in Miami, they made their relationship official in April last year. Ever since, they have been going strong, unwaveringly supporting each other as they pursue success in their respective careers.

For Jake Paul, defeating Bourland will first prove that André August’s knockout was not a mere stroke of good fortune. Secondly, he aims to consolidate his name as a serious world-class challenger. Hence, a statement win will take him a step closer to the goal.
