British heavyweight boxer Joe Joyce is preparing for his next fight against China’s Zhilei Zhang on April 15th. Known more for his in-ring abilities than his trash-talking, Joyce recently engaged in some hilariously awkward trash-talk during an interview on Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions’ YouTube Channel.

When asked if there was a chance he might lose his temper against Zhang in the ring, Joyce explained that he would remain level-headed and then attempted to trash-talk by saying, “I’m ‘The Juggernaut’. I walk through the fires and I use my own flames to uh… heat up my opponents.

Joyce laughed at his own statement, realizing that it was unlikely to rattle Zhang. However, Joyce went on to say that the fight would be “carnage at the center of the ring“. This statement from him caused a lot of fans to troll him online.

Sunny Edwards demands an apology from Joyce

World Champion Sunny Edwards decided to join the fans to troll Joe Joyce. Edwards first retweeted a post from Dev Sahni writing that Joyce could be in trouble for trash-talking like that. While being sarcastic, he said that nobody should trash talk against their opponents in this harsh manner.

In the video, he cannot be heard talking anything harsh as such, in fact, he tried to put down his opponent and laughed it off at the end. Following Sahni’s tweet, Edwards pitched in and shared the same sentiment as Sahni.

Sunny Edwards expressed his disappointment. He stated that the sport of boxing deserves much better candidates, and what Joe Joyce has done, is “actually disgusting” for the world.
