Years After Losing $300 Million Fortune, Mike Tyson Makes a Confession About Living in the “S**Ttiest” Small House With Wife and Kids

Mike Tyson is renowned for his ferocious knockout power inside the ring, and his resilience in the outer world. Tyson has only been knocked out 5 times inside the ring, but it never stopped him from taking up the next fight. Well the same can be said about his life struggles, Tyson has never failed to get back on his feet, no matter what kind of atrocities you may put in front of him. In 2005, Tyson was in debt of $38.4 million and had lost his entire net worth of $300 million. Now if this had been anybody else, things would’ve been too tough to handle, but not for ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’.

He took it on his chest and kept working hard to regenerate his wealth again. He started a successful cannabis company. He started his own podcast that dragged over millions of listeners per episode. Currently, he also owns a company that sells boxing equipment. Still, Tyson believes that time taught him a lot of valuable things. Of late, Tyson spoke about missing the smaller house that he used to live in during times of financial constraints.

In the recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson’s son, Prince Jackson, talked about how his father, despite being one of the wealthiest music artists of his time, taught him the value of money. Over this, Tyson resonated with Jackson’s story and stated that his wife has a similar mentality as well.

Tyson shared, “You know we had a smaller house, it was kind of crummy but it was a nice house. I mean nobody complained, nobody bothers, and there were bigger houses, and we had the sh**tiest house in the neighborhood.” Tyson felt it had its advantages. He continued, “I’m saying, that’s cool, everything was cool, we didn’t have to yell because everyone was close.

Then later, when they had money, they bought a bigger house. Then he added, “No that’s not gangster because that’s not normal. Mom and daddy is just tricking because they have insecurities.” Now this speaks volumes about Tyson’s learnings because after his court cases, he had to leave the luxurious mansion.

Mike Tyson was charged in 1992 for his wrongdoings. He came out of prison in 1995, and was suffering a financial downhill. So, he had to sell his property, where he once lived happily with his three pet tigers. But in 1999, he abandoned the house and wanted to live far away from all the ruckus.

The luxurious mansion was later turned into The Living World Sanctuary Church’s home. The swimming pool in the mansion has now taken the form of a sanctuary while the living room area is the gathering place for the devotees. The garage has become the classroom and nursery, while the fireplace is the space for the indoor waterfall.
