Ryan Garcia‘s recent antics have had even a former NFL running back chiming in with a tinge of concern. The boxing world dodged a social media haymaker this week after a cruel prank involving lightweight contender Ryan Garcia. A post on his channels, hinting at his demise, sent fans into a frenzy. Thankfully, Garcia later appeared safe and sound. The post, rife with dark pronouncements and an ominous “RIP,” was enough to send chills down anyone’s spine.

Relief washed over the boxing community as news confirmed Garcia’s well-being. However, the bad taste remained. This supposed trolling backfired spectacularly. It caused genuine panic among Garcia’s loved ones and supporters, proving that some things just don’t translate well on the internet. Even his opponent, Devin Haney, expressed concern over his mental health. However, now Le’Veon Bell has come up with a reason behind Garcia’s erratic behavior.

The lightweight clash between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney is heating up, but not just for the right reasons. The judgment day is on April 20 at the Barclays Center, in Brooklyn, New York. Garcia’s cryptic posts on Instagram and his mysterious X channel activity have the boxing world buzzing. Is it just a case of pre-fight hype, or is something more going on?

Well, Le’Veon Bell has an answer, and he doesn’t think Garcia is unstable or it’s related to pre-hype either. He believes that he took some extra doses of psilocybin, and nothing else. On his X, he wrote, “I feel like Ryan Garcia had a bad batch of [mushrooms] I could be wrong, but that’s just my feeling.

So, according to Bell, these are just the effects of some psychedelic drugs, but at the same time, he was open to being wrong as well. Furthermore, Matchroom Boxing CEO Eddie Hearn had a different outlook on the situation, but he was also quite concerned about Ryan Garcia.

Eddie Hearn voices out his concerns for Ryan Garcia

Ryan Garcia’s pre-fight antics have boxing promoter Eddie Hearn scratching his head. Hearn, who witnessed Garcia’s behavior firsthand at their press conferences, offered a blunt assessment: “He’s definitely not himself.” It’s unclear whether KingRy’s online behavior is a deliberate attempt to rile people up, a genuine struggle, or something else entirely.

Hearn suspects trolling might be at play, but he believes that people around Garcia should take care of him. He said, “The principal feeling is that he’s (Garcia) ok, and he’s healthy. That’s the main priority, but also, he’s gotta be prepared to be ready to fight one of the best fighters (Haney) in the sport.
