The MMA fighters, Chris Avila and Jeremy Stephens, who picked up the 12-ounce boxing gloves, did not disappoint in their undercard fight in the Jake PaulNate Diaz event. Mostly, the boxing fans loved the performance of the unanimous decision winner, Chris Avila, who brought the style of Nate Diaz at the American Airlines Center, even before Nate Diaz himself. The Stockton native had a lousy stance in the first three rounds, that’s been quite the style of the Diaz brothers inside the Octagon.

But in the fourth round, Avila picked up the pace and started indulging power in his punches. Unlike the previous bout where the fans got to witness a fourth-round body shot KO by Ashton Sylve.

He even taunted Jeremy Stephens, after a couple of successful dodges. This was Stephens’s second bout, and also his first loss in the sweet science. But, it’s become evident after this bout that he’ll be needing a bit more experience in the sport. Also, he will have to spend more time in the Alliance MMA gym, under Eric Del Fierro. In the 6 rounds bout, he was dominated throughout the bout, as he could land only 81 punches in almost more than 200 punches thrown. Nonetheless, Avila won the fight as well as a lot of fans’ hearts.
