Both Eddie Hearn and Dana White have been at the helm of their respective trades for a long time. The Englishman took over the reins of Matchroom Sports from his father. On the other hand, White has been with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) since 2001. But despite their hectic schedules, the honchos understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle to remain on top of things. So much so, the American, nine years senior to the Matchroom boss, explained the reasons behind chasing the fitness goals.

When it comes to health, don’t wait till it’s too late – Eddie Hearn and Dana White

Speaking to Hearn, White shared how he met Gary Brecka, the co-founder of Miami, Florida-based 10X Health System. The Human Biologist told the UFC head that he had barely 10.4 years of life expectancy. Incidentally, as a guest on the podcast ‘Balancing Chaos’ last year, he stated, “..then he said, so do you want to know you know how many years you have left? And I’m like yeah, he gave me 10.4 years. He said if you keep doing what you’re doing right now, and you stay on this trajectory, you got 10.4 years…

Men’s Health shared the interview excerpt on its Instagram account. It mentioned how Eddie Hearn found even mundane activities like putting on a trouser burdensome. He said, “Dana was told that he had a life expectancy of 10.4 yearsI’m 44, Dana’s 53. We’re both almost screaming at people about how important fitness is and how you have to make time for it. I neglected it for ages, and so did Dana.”

The Matchroom boss also shared how, despite his advancing age, Dana White, by remaining consistent with his regimen, felt younger, “That I felt like I was in my 30s again, but I feel like I’m in my late 20s now.

According to Dana White, one has to be healthy. Hence he needs to pull in a schedule to make it possible. The logical stream of thoughts tricks one’s views. Being surrounded by men in the best physical shapes must have motivated the 53-year-old to take the gym more seriously. However, as it turns out, nothing could have been further away from the truth.
