Crossovers in MMA and boxing have become a trend lately. Ever since the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight, fans have drawn significant comparisons between boxers and MMA fighters of similar weight category. Of late, one such matchup that has turned into a hot topic is between the recently crowned UFC heavyweight champ, Francis Ngannou, and the WBC Interim heavyweight champion, Dillian Whyte.

Recently, Whyte’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, was in an interview with SiriusXM Boxing. Here, he shed some light on staging a fight between ‘The Predator’ and ‘The Body Snatcher’ in the coming time.

Hearn even cleared that he’d be open to book a crossover between Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou, but he seems to be more inclined towards Ngannou vs Whyte matchup. The Matchroom boss is eager to book two fights between Whyte and Ngannou, one in the cage and the other one in the ring.

Ngannou recently won a thriller rematch against Stipe Miocic to cement himself as the undisputed heavyweight champ. By displaying his daunting power, the ‘Predator’ knocked Miocic out cold in just the second round of the fight.

On the flip side, Dillian Whyte avenged his loss by finishing his adversary Alexander Povetkin in the rematch. This was a must-win contest for Whyte, as his title shot aspirations relied on his performance at ‘Rumble on the Rock’.

Both Ngannou and Whyte have showcased their abilities in their respective disciplines. That said, a potential crossover fight between the duo has definitely sent the fans into a frenzy.
