The bout between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz has been announced just recently. The back and forth between these two fighters have been going on for a while now, but before Nate Diaz had a non-compete contract with the UFC, so he couldn’t take Paul up on his offer. But now, since he has officially taken his leave from the UFC, he has accepted the long-awaited boxing fight against ‘The Problem Child’.
But this announcement came as a shocker to a lot of boxing fans, as Paul had outlined his intentions of attaining the rematch against Tommy Fury. Now with this announcement, everyone’s in a dilemma about whether the rematch is still is into Paul’s consideration.
So Paul addressed his rematch against ‘TNT’ and also talked about Diaz as an opponent. Paul faced the first loss of his career against Fury, which was the first time he fought a professional boxer. But he lost, so the boxing community was expecting him to go against the Englishman again in a rematch, but turns out, right now Paul is going back to the basics and again taking up a fight against a former UFC fighter.

Jake Paul addressed the Tommy Fury rematch
The whole internet was taken by storm when the fight between Paul and Diaz got announced. Many combat sports fighters reacted to this announcement and expressed their excitement for this match-up. But still, there was a question lingering over everybody’s minds. And that was what happened to the Tommy Fury rematch?
So Jake Paul stated that he did not perform in the best possible manner against the young Fury, but he’s still looking toward the Tommy Fury rematch. It’s good to know that he hasn’t dropped that idea yet. He said, “I know I can beat Tommy. That was the worst version of me possible. He was the better man, he had an amazing performance, congrats to Tommy for that. But I wanna come back and take what’s mine from that kid.”

Paul is currently focusing on his fight against Nate Diaz, but that doesn’t mean he has forgotten about the British boxer. Well, currently the Diaz fight is important for ‘The Problem Child; because if he wins the fight, he can call him out to an MMA fight in the PFL. Recently, Jake Paul also signed a multi-year contract with the UFC’s rival, PFL. Anyway, there’s still mutual respect between Paul and Diaz.
Nate Diaz brands Paul to be the best thing after Canelo Alvarez
After the announcement, media personnel asked both opponents about their thoughts on each other. And Nate Diaz stated that Jake Paul is one of the biggest things in boxing right now and put him on the same pedestal as Canelo Alvarez. Moreover, he also stated that he considers himself the best combat sports athlete in history, and he’ll prove that after defeating Jake Paul in the boxing fight.
