Tonight, at the Kingdom Arena of Riyadh, a grand fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou will take its course. To witness the glamourous event, Tommy Fury has landed in Saudi. Ahead of the event, at the venue, he was quizzed on his return to the ring. In response, he called out MMA-fame, Conor McGregor, considering that his old nemesis Jake Paul has now booked former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson for his next fight.

Speaking to DAZN, the British cruiserweight revealed his comeback plans following his recovery from injury. He noted, “Yeah, definitely. I’m looking to get this out of the way, nice and recovered and I’ve seen, you know Jake Paul’s fighting Mike Tyson. I mean, why not, me and McGregor next? How’s that? I’ve got a comeback fight and I’d like him to for me return. So, McGregor, get in touch.”

It remains to be seen whether the MMA legend will accept the fight. If yes, it will not be the first time McGregor will be fighting inside the squared circle. In 2017, in a fight against Floyd Mayweather, he lost via a technical knockout in the 10th round.

Fury calling out McGregor comes in light of a big announcement Jake Paul made ahead of his next fight against Mike Tyson.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

Earlier, it was announced that Fury’s former opponent, influencer-turned-boxer, Jake Paul will fight Mike Tyson on July 20.  The fight, however, comes as a surprise to fans. Paul had earlier stated categorically that he wanted to become a world champion. However, a fight against 58-year-old Mike Tyson does not align with that ambition.

While ‘Problem Child’ is coming fresh off his 1st-round knockout victory in his career’s tenth fight against Ryan Bourland, ‘Iron Mike’, a veteran, hung his gloves in 2005. His last exhibition bout dated back to 2020 against Roy Jones Jr. This fight, set to happen in Texas, will come three weeks after Tyson turns 58.

On the Paul vs. Fury rematch front, ‘Problem Child’s’ team has offered the Love Island fame a two-fight offer. One, in the squared ring, and the other in the octagon. For this massive undertaking, ‘TNT’ was also offered a whopping $20 million. However, that fight could not materialize. In an interview, he explained, “I’m out for a good 6 months but after that, I’m looking to get it on. Me and Mr. Paul have some leftover business, we’ll tend to that.”
