“Probably Some Don King Scam”: Fans Rip Apart ‘Biggest Fraud in Boxing’ for Offering Francis Ngannou $1 Million to Fight Hours After Deontay Wilder ‘Biggest Payday’ Call-Out

Thirty-nine-year-old Christopher Jamaal Lovejoy, or just Christopher Lovejoy, maintains an impressive record on “boxrec.” It reveals that he has fought twenty-one bouts, out of which he won twenty, all through knockouts. A close read-through may indicate that all the wins took place in Tijuana, Mexico, barring one in Cologne, Germany, that he lost. The boxer with a 95% knock-out-to-win rate seems to have gone dormant after 2021. However, for 2023, he has a fight lined up on March 19 at Cairo!
The antecedents of the boxer seem to puzzle a lot. To the surprise of many, WBA ranked him fifteenth; however, a point frequently brought out is that not a single video footage of his bouts is available. However, on his part, Lovejoy appears deadly serious about marking a space for himself on a world stage. Thankfully net and social media platforms have left that challenge null and void, as all he needs to do is call out the boxer he deems fit enough for his challenge.

Yesterday, he confirmed sending an offer to Deontay Wilder through his Twitter handle, claiming it to be the former champion’s biggest fight purse.
MY TEAM HAS NOW SENT OFFER TO DEONTAY WILDER, WHICH WILL BE HIS BIGGEST PAYDAY THUS FAR

On the back of that call-out, he picked up on former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, who, after the departure from the promotion, is making forays into professional boxing.

He said, “Francis (N)gonnou or (N)gannou, whatever the f**k your name is, check it out. Heard that you’re getting like a $100,000 a fight. Well, check this out. I’am offering you a million dollars to fight me. Give you a $100,000 upfront upon signing the contract. September 9, at the Tokyo Dome, in Japan….”
Christopher Lovejoy, six hours after offering Deontay Wilder his “biggest payday” to fight him, has just offered Francis Ngannou $1m to fight him next 🍿

More than 90k have viewed this call-out. However, many among the Twitterati decided to give Lovejoy a nice talking-to.
Greetings from a not-so-known fighter
Calling Lovejoy’ an attention-seeking clown,’ @Jimmyyy9320 said that Ngannou had refused a three-fight deal where each fetched $8 million!
Francis turned down $8m per fight, 3 fight deal, you attention seeking clown

@HarryScannell called Lovejoy the ‘biggest fraud’ and said he is the most prominent con artist in boxing, an opportunist, plain and simple.
Biggest fraud in boxing is this fella, he’s a hustler and nothing more.
— Harry Scannell (@HarryScannell) March 7, 2023
@thebigdosser1 wanted to know whether Don King is still promoting Lovejoy. It probably alludes to an old report where Lovejoy mentioned the legendary boxing promoter promoting him.
Is Lovejoy still promoted by don king 🤣
— The Big Dosser (@thebigdosser1) March 7, 2023
@TmaPresi also toed the line similar to @thebigdosser1, saying it could be another scam Don King hoisted up.
Probably some Don King scam

@aman0981 deplored why space is being allowed to a person like Lovejoy, who refused to fight British boxer, Dave Allen. Not even a single footage of any of his bouts is available.
Lollll this clown won’t fight anybody, he backed out of a fight against Dave Allen, all his previous fight footage is unobtainable 🤣 why do reputable boxing channels give this guy any air time
— Aman (@aman0981) March 7, 2023
@DanielCatchpol5 implored that Lovejoy should be taken off the air immediately. He is the biggest cheat in boxing’s history who’s yet to throw a single decent punch!
Instead, he should try challenging people like Sam Bankman-Fried (charged with securities and wire fraud) or Jordan Belfort ( based on whose life the movie “Wolf of the Wall Street” was made), and together they can engage in a “Fraud of the Century” contest.
This guy needs to be cancelled.
Biggest fraud in boxing.
Haven't even seen him throw one good punch in his abysmal performances so far.
He should be calling out bankman-fried or the wolf of Wall Street for the "fraud of the century" fight

In 2019, Christopher Lovejoy faced reigning heavyweight champion Tyson Fury when he visited the US to fight Tom Schwarz for the WBO Inter-Continental title. “The Gypsy King” came to know that Lovejoy had been trash-talking about him. But a subsequent meet and invitation for a ‘friendly’ sparring session went south for the American. Fury said, “He comes running at me, I just went slip, boom and down he went. All 20 stone of him on the floor.”
But when Lovejoy’s turn to narrate the incident came, the ending reportedly took a different turn.
