Ryan Garcia has been trying to defend himself ever since reports of him testing positive for ostarine emerged. Amidst it all, the American boxer has sparked a rivalry with Conor McGregor, as he is furious with what the former UFC champion had to say about him. It seems he is ready to brawl with the Irishman. So, what did he say?

McGregor, 35, had lashed out at ‘KingRy’, as he had called for a lifetime ban on him for using PEDs ahead of the Devin Haney fight. In addition, he had specified his intention to make an example of him. He wrote in a now-deleted X post, “Cheated the weight and was juiced, lifetime ban… Sad and a bit sick. Don’t come near me if I see you ever Ryan Garcia. I am actually disgusted… What the f—ck happened to you, you little fool. Get your head together cos I gonna smash it in with elbows if you don’t.”

Garcia, 25, has maintained his innocence throughout the allegations and McGregor’s comments didn’t sit well with him. He challenged the MMA fighter to “come see” him at the Canelo Alvarez vs. Jaime Munguia weigh-ins. He took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “Cry me a river B**** @thenotoriousmma.” He added, “Come see me forreal I’ll be at the canelo weigh in. IMA HURT YOU WORST THEN MAYWEATHER.”

The Victorville native previously declared his intention to break McGregor’s “weak a** ankle,” which kept him on the sidelines for almost two years. Notably, Sean O’Malley and Amir Khan had previously tested positive for ingesting ostarine and have served bans for the same. However, in Garcia’s case, the VADA has confirmed the positive results in a letter, but the New York Commission will investigate it further.

Where does it leave the lightweight boxer? He has to wait for the investigation to be over to finally lay to rest the cheating claims. But what about Haney? Does he want a rematch now with Garcia?

Devin Haney shuns a rematch with Ryan Garcia

‘The Dream’ disclosed his intention not to pursue the rematch at Sports Center. He said, “I’m not too interested in it. We’ve seen the guy cheat. We’ve seen the person that he is. I don’t see myself ever getting back in the ring [with Ryan Garcia].”

Haney also voiced his concern about sustaining “dangerous” punishment and a risk to his life because of Garcia’s PED intake. It remains to be seen whether the NY Commission will acquit Garcia or if a ban is looming large over him.
