A day earlier, Floyd Mayweather made his return to Japan for his fourth exhibition fight. Mayweather, 45, fought Mikuru Asakura, a 30-year-old mixed martial artist inside the Saitama Super Arena, Japan. Although retired and past his prime, Mayweather outperformed Asakura in their fight. Even though Asakura entered with a noteworthy resume in mixed martial arts, Mayweather knocked him out.

Following Floyd Mayweather vs. Mikuru Asakura, UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal took to Facebook and commented about Mayweather and the fight. Lately, Masvidal is very active on Facebook. According to him, Mayweather is the greatest boxer to walk the planet earth.

Jorge Masvidal believes Floyd Mayweather is the greatest boxer ever

Masvidal believes Mayweather fought Manny Pacquiao when the Pilipino was in his prime. In addition, he thinks Mayweather’s treatment of Alvarez was impeccable. To top it all, Masvidal labels Asakura as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time whom ‘TBE’ eliminates in just one punch.

About the figure that Mayweather made, Jorge is right. In a recent statement, Mayweather himself had said he was making somewhere around $20 Million just by performing for nine minutes. His exact words were, “From this exhibition alone I will making somewhere upwards of $15-20million. That’s just from this exhibition. So, it’s cool. Nine minutes, 20 million, not bad.”

However, to think about Masvidal’s words, when Mayweather fought Pacquiao, ‘TBE’ was 38, and Pacquiao, 36. The time when Mayweather fought Alvarez, the former was 36, but Alvarez was only 23 years old. There have been so many speculations over Alvarez’s level of maturity and ring IQ when he stepped in the ring with ‘TBE’. And speaking of Asakura, the Japanese entered the fight with an MMA record of 3 losses and 16 wins. In addition, he lacked a solid background when it came to boxing.
