LONDON (Reuters) – Chelsea’s Oscar and Diego Costa faced up to each like bulls, never threw punches and ended up laughing together, interim manager Guus Hiddink said on Friday as he denied reports of a training ground bust-up. British media reported on Thursday that the Brazilian and Spanish internationals nearly came to blows after exchanging tackles in a practice session ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup third- round tie against Scunthorpe United. “They were like bulls who were cheating a bit after a charge from behind by Oscar,” Hiddink said. “He got Diego and they stumbled over the ground and then they chested a bit.” Hiddink said other players had stepped between them but that there had been no need for that. “Costa took a charge from behind from the smaller of the two, Oscar, and it was overdone, especially when you know Oscar is not the biggest tackler of the team. “They stumbled over the ground, stood up, as a normal reaction. Those things happen when you’re close to the edge in an intense session.” Hiddink said Oscar had apologised in front of the other players for over-reacting. “It was a normal battle,” the Dutchman added. Oscar had tweeted earlier: “He’s one of my best friends and we never fight.” Both players endured an indifferent start to the season under former manager Jose Mourinho, but have raised their games since Hiddink took over last month. They each scored in Chelsea’s 3-0 dismantling of Crystal Palace on Sunday, when the champions won for only the sixth time in 20 league games this season. Chelsea, 14th in the table and 13 points adrift of the Champions League places, host West Bromwich Albion and Everton in the league next week. Most recently, they won the UEFA Champions League under the leadership of manager Thomas Tuchel. They beat the Premier League champions Manchester City 1-0 in the final as Kai Havertz took the Blues to the promised land.

<h2><strong>Premier League 2021/22</strong></h2>
The 30<sup>th</sup> season of the top flight professional English football, Premier League 2021/22 will take place from August 13 2021 to May 17 2022. After a not-so-thrilling title race last season against Manchester United, Manchester City emerged victorious for the Premier League title. The 2021/22 edition of the tournament is set to bring an equal amount of excitement, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United all in the mix for the title.

Comprising of four divisions until 1991, the top division of English football split up and all the teams in the top division, after multiple discussions with the football authorities and television broadcasters, formed the Premier League in 1992.

The competition format remained the same, with three clubs relegated and three clubs promoted every season, and the top four clubs in the Premier League would qualify for the Champions League.

The main reason for the change in approach was to bring in more money into the game. The first broadcast rights for the Premier League was to be won at ?304?million over five years by Sky UK. The Premier League is the most-watched sports league in the world, broadcast in 212 territories to 643?million homes and a potential TV audience of 4.7?billion people.

The Premier League has two transfer windows- Summer and Winter, where clubs can buy players. The summer transfer window generally over two months long, which begins and ends before the start of the season, while the winter transfer window is the mid-season window, which lasts the month of January.

In February 2020, the Premier League saw one round of matches played over two weekends, with five matches on the weekend commencing February 8, and five on the weekend commencing on February 15.

Premier League 2021/22 The 30th season of the top flight professional English football, Premier League 2021/22 will take place from August 13 2021 to May 17 2022. After a not-so-thrilling title race last season against Manchester United, Manchester City emerged victorious for the Premier League title.
