Follow Us
Okay, we all know by now exactly how infected Call of Duty: Warzone is with cheaters. We brought to you an insight from a Redditor who used the cheats for research purposes to show what are the advantages that cheaters get. Around 3 out of 4 squads in the final circle have at least one cheater on their squad. This obviously brings us to question the steps Infinity Ward and Activision have been taking to ensure anti-cheat.
Recently, Timothy “Timthetatman” Betar had an interesting encounter with a hacker while streaming Warzone. The conversation was carried out much in the manner of the ouija board. The player “nodded” his aim up and down to mean ‘yes’, and similarly sideways to mean ‘no.’ This peculiar conversation, however, made it clear how lenient the anti-cheat rules are for Warzone.

The particular player has been cheating on Call of Duty Warzone for six months now
That’s right. Timthetatman himself reported the player and even told him that he would do so. It seems hackers aren’t really afraid of being banned, possibly because they know how inefficient the system is. This brings us to the question, is there any loophole in the game’s report system that they are aware of? If so, then are Infinity Ward and Activision doing anything about it?

The player had the Damascus skin unlocked for his Kar98 and his ARs, which is really hard to get. However, the player says (you are free to not believe him though) that he did honestly grind to unlock these skins. He further admitted he was playing on his alternative account and that he had it for around a year. However, he had been cheating for six months now.

Players and pros alike have been saying that Call of Duty needs a good anti-cheat system like Valve. Even Valorant has managed to improve its anti-cheat systems. Warzone is a good game and brought many new aspects into the BR gameplay. But due to being so heavily infected with cheaters, it is rapidly losing its player base.
What do you think the devs should do to battle this issue?
