Former World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki was one of the best players on the women’s Tour for a considerable period. When she won her first Grand Slam title at the 2018 Australian Open, it gave her a sense of relief after having had come close on a few occasions in the past. She enjoyed rivalries with Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, and Simona Halep, which gave us many memorable matches.
During the previous season in 2020, the Danish professional player hanged up her boots and officially retired from the game. However, she had revealed her intention to do so towards the end of the 2019 season. Although she’s retired from the sport, her liking and passion for it still continue.

Yesterday, Caroline took to social media and posted a short clip of the exhibition event held ‘A Day at the Drive’ held in Adelaide. During the clip, Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka were engaged in a match against each other, and to add to that, it was great to see crowds in the stands once again.
Over the years, Caroline and Serena developed a close bond and are good friends. Whenever the duo comes across each other they exchange words that often lead to the pair bursting into laughter. During a tennis event last season, the American had termed the Danish player as her ‘bestie’ in a post on Instagram.

Both events will be played simultaneously from the 31st of January till the 6th of February. After that, they will be seen at the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the new season.
