Caroline Wozniacki to Return to US Open 2020 in a Brand New Role

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans are not allowed to watch the US Open at the arena. This is why they are going to watch all of their matches on television but sadly, the experience is not going to the same. To compensate for this, broadcasting companies have to give amazing commentary and that is why ESPN has brought Caroline Wozniacki.

Caroline Wozniacki was one of the best tennis players. She attained the World No. 1 ranking many times and she even won the 2018 Australian Open. However, she struggled with injuries after that and she ultimately retired from tennis in 2020 at the young age of 29.

While the Danish star may have stopped playing, she could not leave the sport completely. In a recent tweet, it was revealed that she joined the ESPN team for the 2020 US Open. This team consists of many other tennis legends like John McEnroe and Chris Evert which will make the entire experience amazing. She is definitely looking forward to the event which is scheduled to begin on August 31st.

It has not been easy for the organizers to host the US Open this year. Many players withdrew from the event due to the pandemic and some were not sure. The participation was not looking good but in the end, many decided to take part and that includes Wozniacki’s good friend – Serena Williams.

She was the first to confirm her entry and she probably did so for one reason – her 24th Grand Slam. She has been trying to win it for quite some time and she has sadly done it. After many attempts, she is going to be more motivated than ever to achieve her goal. And Caroline Wozniacki will be cheering for her the whole way.
