Darren Sealy Picks Oleksandr Usyk Over Tyson Fury
Ahead of his confrontation with ‘Gypsy King’, Usyk set up a website wherein he called on fighters who could replicate his build and acumen of the 6’9″ opponent. One among these fighters, who met the criterion was Darren Sealy, a Londoner, who’s fought Phil Williams twice in his boxing career. Having sparred ‘The Cat,’ Sealy is abled enough to comment on why he thinks the 21-0 fighter would excel against Fury.
Speaking to the Mirror, the 32-year-old noted, “Fury will maybe stay out strong keeping it nice and long but Usyk will take a couple of rounds to work him out like the master that he is and will be victorious. I think Usyk will win whether in the later rounds or by unanimous decision. He is the best at it and the best to do it, undisputed at cruiserweight and undisputed at heavyweight in less than a month.”
Sealy was also roped in as a sparring partner by Cameroonian fighter, Francis Ngannou, who fought Tyson Fury in late October last year, in which the latter won via a thin, split decision. Sealy’s assistance in preparing Usyk for the big fight is noteworthy, he finds himself in the books of history. How does he see this moment take its course?
