In 2021, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson made his boxing debut as he faced professional fighter Brian Maxwell in an exhibition match. Since a boxing bout was always on Johnson’s bucket list, the then-43-year-old athlete was more than excited for the fight. However, although Johnson, thanks to his NFL background, displayed impressive footwork during the bout, Maxwell, a bare-knuckle boxer, knocked his opponent out.
Over two years after the mentioned fight, it seems Johnson has found the next challenger he would compete against in a boxing ring. And in this case, the thrill is in the fact that while Maxwell was barely recognized, Johnson’s next opponent is Jared Anderson who has the WBC USA and WBO International Heavyweight titles decorating his physique.

Speaking of which, he announced he was open to fighting the likes of Frank Sanchez and Michael Hunter. However, as of now, it seems Anderson has a change of mind. Likewise, he was recently spotted humorously facing off with wide receiver Chad Johnson by Top Rank Boxing.
