Ex-Warrior Hilariously Warns Klay Thompson as $189 Million Rich Star Takes Unusual Route to Work

The Golden State Warriors are facing the Milwaukee Bucks tonight and it seems Klay Thompson has plans to arrive in style. The 34-year-old takes an unusual route and transport to the game. But this is Klay we are talking about, so there isn’t really anything unusual about that.
Going live on his Instagram, Thompson was seen steering his boat while interacting with his fans. But what quickly caught fire on social media was an ex-Warriors player and current basketball operations consultant for the franchise’s hilarious remark.
Dalton Johnson, the NBC Sports Bay Area reporter, tweeted on X, “Zaza Pachulia 1 minute in: “Don’t be late.”

The sense of humor the entire Warriors franchise has is quite apparent here. While many might be clueless as to why a $189 million rich NBA superstar would be riding a boat to court, every one acquainted with the ‘Splash Brother’ will know this isn’t the first time he’s done so. Klay’s love for the ocean and his boat is not a new topic either.
Klay has mentioned on multiple occasions how being at the sea, sailing in his boat, is therapeutic. A look at his Instagram will show you the proof of his love. It wouldn’t be an offense to say that basketball and boating might be on par for the 4x champion.
Yet, in typical Klay fashion, there are many whimsical stories related to the man and his boat.
Klay Thompson and his nautical tales
Perhaps one of the more popular instances involving Klay Thompson and his many quirks is one narrated by the ex-Warriors associate coach, Mike Brown. It was 2021 and the California native had just gotten his new boat. He spent plenty of time boating that he simply started using it to get to practice.

The catch? Thompson would park his 37-foot boat anywhere and everywhere. Brown finally caught up with the man in question and asked if he was aware that people actually pay for the spots. Joining the 95.7 The Game, Brown recounted the rest of the hilarious story.

Finally, the Nigerian National Team HC got Klay a parking spot at the loading ramp using a few connections he had with some of the Port personnel. In yet another comical situation during the Dubs championship year in 2022, Thompson saw it fit to arrive at the Warriors parade in his Axopar 37.
As usual, he was live on IG, and during the ride, he lost his championship hat in the wind. Luckily, he had a captain’s hat at hand. Yes, he attended the parade sporting the same, which luckily survived the strong wind. And that’s Klay Thompson for you. Do you remember any such stories? Drop them in the comments below!
