The Dallas Mavericks clinched a notable win against the Portland Trail Blazers with a score of 125-112 last Friday. However, the joyous victory was marred by an unfortunate incident involving the Mavericks’ standout player, Kyrie Irving. Writhing in pain after a foul by Portland’s Doup Reath, Irving suffered further when Dwight Powell accidentally stepped on his foot. Despite bravely staying in the game to make free throws, they eventually sidelined Irving following a medical examination.
Reports circulated that Irving had to leave the arena, raising concerns about the severity of his injury. The press was concerned that Kai was in a wheelchair and even Head Coach Jason Kidd had a laugh about it. However, the latest comments debunk the fiction.

After Kidd, even Hardaway assures the fans of Kai’s health. Earlier, Kidd said, “All reporting is not all factual. Or should we all believe it?” he further added, “I am not here to interview you, but I think he hasn’t left the building. He is still here.” As the Mavericks reached an 11-6 record following a 121-115 triumph against the Houston Rockets, Coach Kidd expressed a desire for positive coverage from reporters.

When questioned about Irving’s fourth-quarter challenges, during which he and Luka Doncic contributed 23 points, Kidd argued that certain reporters had exaggerated aspects of Irving’s performance from the preceding year. Kidd said, “It’s alright to write positive stuff, people will read your positive sh–. You don’t always have to be negative. The world is already negative enough.”
The head coach of the Mavericks remarked that Irving’s performance was an improvement from the previous year. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of reporters to adopt a positive tone in their coverage.
