Two schools are now attached to Kobe Bryant’s legacy in a magnificent way. The University of Southern California and Louisiana State University unveiled the exclusive designs for their Nike Kobes. They’re among six schools getting their own editions of Bryant’s signature shoes.

The new designs have left Black Mamba fans awestruck and eager to get their hands on them. Fans and the schools involved are grateful to Vanessa Bryant for making it happen. Among them, LSU Coach, Kim Mulkey expressed what an honor it is to share this connection.

USC and LSU will wear Kobe Bryant’s shoes

It’s a good time to support the Trojans and Tigers. Both schools showcased their editions of the Nike Kobes and the designs are spectacular. The USC basketball team wrote on X, “New custom USC Kobe’s dropped. It’s an honor to be an official Mamba school!” to complement the images of the sneakers.

LSU also shared, “It’s only fitting to have purple, gold and white Kobes.”  Tigers women’s basketball coach, Kim Mulkey shared the team’s post with a brief, “Thank You @vanessabryant & @mambamambacitasports.” Vanessa reciprocated by resharing Mulkey’s post on her Instagram Stories.

Both LSU and USC have their own connections to Bryant and his family. Vanessa and her daughters are huge fans of Mulkey for her work in furthering women’s basketball. Both Mulkey and Vanessa have shared the stage when the coach and Kobe were inducted into the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame.

Vanessa gifted other editions of the Nike Kobes to Angel Reese and her LSU teammates, including the Mambacita Sweet 16 in honor of Gianna. The Tigers were grateful but opted to not wear Gigi’s sneakers as a sign of honor.

Kobe and Vanessa’s eldest daughter, Natalia, is a student at USC. The film student and her mom are celebrating her directorial debut with a USC production too. We’ll have to wait and see if LeBron James‘ son, Bronny, also a USC student, will sport the new USC Kobes during their next game. Either way, the fans are sold on the new collaboration.

Nothing excites fans more than a combination of their favorites. Kobe fans who cheer for the Trojans and Tigers can’t wait to be part of this fantastic combination. The release of these sneakers elicited thrilling reactions from social media users.
