Controversial Former WWE Superstar Velveteen Dream Makes In-Ring Return After 3 Years

Retirement or parting ways is a myth for the ardent pro wrestling stars. Something runs in their blood that keeps bringing them back to the basic, the squared circle. Now the turn is for Velveteen Dream aka Patrick Clark to resume his in-ring endeavors three years after a controversial WWE firing.
To everyone’s pleasant surprise, Velveteen has dipped his feet into the pro wrestling world again, showing up at the Dynasty event in Albany, New York on Saturday.

He appeared and launched a massive interruption in the opening match, throwing a straight challenge. In the main event of the show, Dream’s open challenge was readily accepted by American Muscle Alec Odin, whom Dream later targeted to defeat. The unadvertised star for the show also had a great meet-and-greet with the overwhelmed audiences present in the front rows. His return as a face was a clear hit despite his prolonged absence from pro wrestling.

Velveteen Dream’s WWE release stems from a troubled past
Velveteen Dream has been out of the squared circle for a while now. The former NXT star has found himself in deep water being dragged into several controversies which eventually led to his WWE departure in May 2021. Despite the narrative surrounding him, the former WWE star gave a candid account years after his controversy.

To dive deeper into the controversies, in 2020, Velveteen Dream had to deal with the allegation of sending inappropriate and indecent images to minor boys. However, the wrestler outright denied these claims, making the matter more complex.
In the recent past, Dream uploaded a video on Instagram apologizing to WWE, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels for all the negative attention he brought to the company due to his actions.
