There is no denying that the WWE’s Golden Era would not have been the same without Hulk Hogan‘s influence. The Immortal One was the torchbearer of Vince McMahon’s company for the longest time. Whether you like him or not, Hulk Hogan is one of the cornerstones of wrestling and was instrumental in bringing WWE to mainstream prominence. While Hogan had a larger-than-life persona in WWE, he was a simple father to his kids at home.

During a recent interview, Hogan revealed that at home, around his children, he was simply “dad” or “Terry,” even though his family was aware of his widespread popularity. And he had an interesting reason as to why he did not let his personal life mix with the fame that came from his WWE character.

During an interview with Theo Von, Hulk Hogan revealed that he did not have any pictures of him framed in his house. In fact, he did not want to mix wrestling with his personal life. According to him, combining his home life with his work could have been detrimental to his mental health.

He said, “The kids were real aware of who I was. But the moment I would come home bro, that Hulk Hogan thing was dropped at the front door.”

He continued, There was a job, and I was real good at what I was doing. There had to be a degree of separation for me because, you’ll end up killing yourself.”

Hulk Hogan kept his family away from wrestling for most of his career. But, even though Hulk Hogan did not involve his family in his work, his daughter, Brooke Hogan, briefly made WWE appearances in 2006. As a matter of fact, Hogan had his own reality TV show, Hogan Knows Best, that garnered him a lot of attention.

Nonetheless, it is interesting how Hulk Hogan kept his Hulkamania shtick away from his home, despite the popularity and success it brought him.
