Last season, Ferrari witnessed an unfortunate decline in their performance. Unfortunately, there was a lot of negativity surrounding the Maranello team, considering the significant step back. However, this season, the team has signed Carlos Sainz to drive alongside Charles Leclerc.
The Spaniard has been open about his excitement to join his dream Formula 1 team. In a recent interview, Charles Leclerc explained that Sainz’s positive attitude has helped the team in shaking off the atmosphere from last year, which is also already showing positive results on the grid.
“In recent years he has been in several teams, and I think it is always interesting to get an idea of how the opponents work. I’ve immediately noticed his great motivation too. He is in his first year in Ferrari and you can see that he immediately wants to do very well.”

Carlos Sainz made his move to Ferrari from McLaren. He had a great stint with McLaren and was a part of an open environment with the team and his teammate. The Spaniard has continued the same approach at the Maranello outfit.
Leclerc explained, “What has changed is the time I spent with my teammate, because in the past Seb and I often crossed paths. I would arrive as he left, or vice versa. Now, with Carlos, we are often in on the same days and consequently we spend more time together.”
