Ferrari’s new recruit Charles LeClerc scored his maiden pole position in Formula One and broke several records in the process. He is the first Monegasque driver on pole since Louis Chiron and the second youngest pole sitter. He is the 99th pole sitter in the 999th Formula One race. He even broke the lap record at the Bahrain GP.

Scuderia Ferrari have dominated the weekend so far, so it was just a matter of which Ferrari would snatch pole. This is also the 62nd front row lockout for Scuderia Ferrari. In other words, Sebastian Vettel will be joining him in 2nd. The Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas lock out the second row. Finally, Max Verstappen rounds out the top 5.

Naturally, many flooded Twitter to congratulate the 21-year old.
