Few drivers are being debated with the intensity and appreciation as Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Last year, in 2018, he grabbed eyeballs with Sauber, a team he made a name in. Responsible beyond his age, determined to excel and quick, Charles Leclerc indeed possesses the tools one needs to do wonders at the highest stage in Grand Prix racing.

To that end, when he clinched the pole position a few days ago at Bahrain’s Sakhir circuit, some heads were turned in amazement and some in deep admiration. He broke the track record during qualifying as he clinched pole, beating both Mercedes cars and the Ferrari belonging to his teammate.

To be tipped for great things is one thing and then, to be able to do those is something quite other- right? And in that regard, Charles Leclerc, pole-sitter on Saturday and a podium clincher on Sunday have already demonstrated the talent that he was always expected to bring Ferrari.

But whether Charles Leclerc can clinch a world title is something that’s still not known, what’s known is something rather easy: what lies in the mind of a possible world championship-winner.
