(Reuters) – Premier League champions Chelsea are getting their confidence back after winning back-to-back games for only the second time this campaign, says defender Cesar Azpilicueta. The Blues downed Norwich City 1-0 on Sunday in the Premier League and then produced a dominant 4-0 victory over Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League on Tuesday. Chelsea, who sit 15th in the table after a dismal start to the season, will be looking to win back-to-back league games for the first time this campaign when they play on Sunday against Tottenham Hotspur, who are unbeaten in 12 league matches. “It’s a start. Obviously we want to carry on, we are in a position where we’ve come from two wins in a row, two games in which we’ve played really well and players are getting confidence back,” Azpilicueta told the club’s website (www.chelseafc.com). “We’ll take it step by step. Now we have a tough game against Tottenham away on Sunday and we want to keep going. “We were playing well in the last few games but we didn’t get the results we deserved. In 2016, Chelsea was ranked as the seventh most valuable football club in the world ?1.15 billion, by Forbes magazine. As of 2016, Chelsea are ranked eighth in the Deloitte Football Money League with annual commercial revenue of ?322.59 million.

Most recently, they won the UEFA Champions League under the leadership of manager Thomas Tuchel. They beat the Premier League champions Manchester City 1-0 in the final as Kai Havertz took the Blues to the promised land.

<h2><strong>Premier League 2021/22</strong></h2>
The 30<sup>th</sup> season of the top flight professional English football, Premier League 2021/22 will take place from August 13 2021 to May 17 2022. After a not-so-thrilling title race last season against Manchester United, Manchester City emerged victorious for the Premier League title. The 2021/22 edition of the tournament is set to bring an equal amount of excitement, with Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United all in the mix for the title.

Comprising of four divisions until 1991, the top division of English football split up and all the teams in the top division, after multiple discussions with the football authorities and television broadcasters, formed the Premier League in 1992.

The competition format remained the same, with three clubs relegated and three clubs promoted every season, and the top four clubs in the Premier League would qualify for the Champions League.

The main reason for the change in approach was to bring in more money into the game. The first broadcast rights for the Premier League was to be won at ?304?million over five years by Sky UK. The Premier League is the most-watched sports league in the world, broadcast in 212 territories to 643?million homes and a potential TV audience of 4.7?billion people.

The Premier League has two transfer windows- Summer and Winter, where clubs can buy players. The summer transfer window generally over two months long, which begins and ends before the start of the season, while the winter transfer window is the mid-season window, which lasts the month of January.

In February 2020, the Premier League saw one round of matches played over two weekends, with five matches on the weekend commencing February 8, and five on the weekend commencing on February 15.
