Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has expressed his jubilation over winning back-to-back league titles in his career. The Belgian goalkeeper who won Premier Legaue with Chelsea this season also was an important part of the Atletico Madrid side that won the La Liga last season. Courtois said, “I am very proud because I am 22 years old, nearly 23, and it is an amazing feeling to have already reached that in my career, because it was only a dream to win the La Liga title and the Premier League title. “Being champion at Atletico was something special because Barcelona and Real Madrid dominate so much and it is always hard for another team, but in England you have four or five contenders for the title and to win it four games before the end of the season is a great feeling.” Chelsea were crowned champions of England after defeating West Brom 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Most recently, they won the UEFA Champions League under the leadership of manager Thomas Tuchel. They beat the Premier League champions Manchester City 1-0 in the final as Kai Havertz took the Blues to the promised land.
