Kyle Allen, quarterback for the Detroit Lions, has now added a new title to his list of accomplishments: he is a “father” now. Kyle and his wife, Summer Juraszek, welcomed their first child, a girl, on September 1. Juraszek has been documenting her pregnancy on social media, Instagram, to be more specific, from their first announcement dated March 20, 2025, to now, sharing their first pictures with the world of their newborn daughter. The couple, who started dating in high school and married in June 2024, are undeniably excited about this new chapter. The couple has named their daughter Josephine June Allen.

Barely a few months before their daughter’s birth, the couple threw a baby shower on July 12, 2025. The theme for the party was Summer’s First Bloom, in recognition of Summer Juraszek’s name and the new life they were welcoming. Their guests, the couple’s nearest and dearest, dressed in white with subtle pops of color to enhance the fresh vibe within the decor.  Also, the couple’s adopted dog wore a kerchief that said: “Big Bro.” Newborn clothing hung up as decorations in the backdrop of the venue. Summer displayed her bump with pride, looking radiant in every photo.

And now, at last, the wait is over. The announcement of the baby’s arrival rocked social media, with congratulations pouring in from fans and fellow NFL players on the couple’s posts. Allen, a veteran journeyman who joined the Lions in 2025, will step on the field with the team on Sunday, September 14, and he just couldn’t thank his wife for a better gift than a baby girl.

Summer Juraszek’s Instagram post revealing her daughter’s first look was met with an outpouring of love and congratulations from friends, family, and fans across the NFL community.

Among the well-wishers were several familiar faces. Ryan Tuten Bass, wife of Buffalo Bills placekicker Tyler Bass, commented, “Oh my gosh, congrats y’all! She is so lucky to have y’all as parents!” Mariel Swan, wife of Paul Swan, a former college football linebacker and current front tire carrier for a NASCAR team, also chimed in with a celebratory message: “Aggghhh!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!” Even fellow new mom Marissa Lawrence, wife of Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who welcomed her own baby in April 2024, shared her excitement, writing, “So sweet. Congratulations. She’s beautiful.”

Beyond the well-known names, Summer’s best friend and other followers shared their heartfelt sentiments. Many comments referred to the baby’s name, Josephine June, and referenced the “Summer’s First Bloom” baby shower theme. One user wrote, “Josie June has bloomed. Such a blessing. shine on baby girl, shine on.” Another commented, “beyond precious. Josie June is the luckiest little girl in the world to have you two as parents.” It’s clear the couple and their new baby are feeling the love.

While we’re celebrating Kyle and Summer as new parents, it’s worth noting the foundation that shaped Kyle himself. He has always had the unwavering support of his own parents, Jonna and Mike Allen. Given the pivotal role they played in his life, it’s safe to say that Kyle, alongside Summer, will be able to draw from that experience and prove to be the best parents for their daughter.
