Paul Pogba wants a max contract like Cristiano Ronaldo

The midfielder started the season in fine form after dishing out seven assists in four games. However, his performances took a hit, following a series of inconsistent outings. The level of performance United fans are waiting for is yet to come, but regardless, Pogba now demands a significant pay rise.

As of now, Ronaldo is the highest earner at United earning £480, 000 per week and Pogba and Raiola want to match that salary. This means United would have to pay him an excess of £500, 000.

Pogba’s performances in recent times

The performances he has showcased in recent seasons seem unfair to the wage he demands. He recently got sent off for a reckless challenge on Naby Keita as United lost the match 5-0 to Liverpool. Moreover, he will now face some time on the sidelines with a thigh injury he picked up with the French national team. He is expected to miss up to eight to ten weeks because of the same.

United have labored down in the Premier League standings to sixth with one poor performance following another. With Ronaldo unhappy with the club’s situation, things are going down south for Manchester United. Hence, Pogba’s recent contract demands seem unlikely to be met. Moreover, a midfielder blessed with incredible technique, his attitude has come into question all the time.

Undoubtedly, offering him a new contract seems like a tricky situation for United because of the uncertainty of his performances. Do you think he deserves the salary he is demanding?
