Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo will be making his Renault debut in Australia next week. To properly welcome the 29-year old, the French outfit had a unique initiation ceremony. They hired Guy Savoy, Head chef and owner of the 3-star Guy Savoy Restaurant in Paris to cook a classic French meal for Ricciardo.

The cuisine included ‘Le Pied de Cochon’, or Pig’s foot, les cuisses de grenouilles, or Frogs legs and les escargots or Snails. Finally, for dessert, Ricciardo was spoilt for choice with a variety of cheeses.

One thing is for sure, Ricciardo had plenty of fun participating in the video. Now, the Aussie and his teammate, Nico Hulkenberg will be looking ahead to Melbourne next week.

It will be interesting to see how well he does in the new environment and how Renault stacks up against Red Bull. The two companies have had a bitter time when they were partners and finally, Red Bull chose Honda as their partners.
