Once again, the Renault team faced a difficult day in the office, this time, at the Mexican Grand Prix 2019. Following their post-Japan drama, they could have done with some respite. Sadly, both Nico Hulkenberg and Daniel Ricciardo were eliminated in the Q2 session.

They joined the likes of both Alfa Romeos and Sergio Perez in the elimination zone. As Ricciardo trudged back dejectedly, he screamed out, “F***!!!”. Obviously, his frustration was boiling over, as he believed that he could have made it into Q3.

Last weekend, a questionable braking system resulted in a double disqualification. They figured that it was pointless to appeal, as it would never go in their favour. So, the French team were hoping to put this behind them in Mexico.
Sadly, a disastrous weekend for Daniel Ricciardo and Nico Hulkenberg continued in Qualifying. They missed much of FP3 due to issues with their car, and had very limited running. Clearly, this came back to hit them where it really hurts.
