End of the road for Marussia?

Marussia’s hopes of returning to the 2015 season as ‘Manor Grand Prix’ has taken a severe hit after its request to run the 2014 car this season was blocked by Force India who declined to give reasons for the same.

Marussia who went into administration last year before the Russian Grand Prix announced that it will be coming out of administration on February 19 with an aim of participating in the 2015 season.

Their plea to run the 2014 car this season as well was discussed in the summit yesterday among the F1 chiefs. They need individual nod of every team and because of Force India their plea was rejected.

It is a sever blow to Marussia because if they were to participate in the 2015 season, they only had the 2014 car to run with considering they sold off much of the 2015 car models and team laptops in multiple auctions.

Earlier today it was also announced that Caterham  is also auctioning its assets in order to clear off their debts.
