It has been said a number of times and it is pretty clear that Nintendo Switch is set to have a record-breaking year. There are also rumors suggesting that this is the console’s last year as Nintendo’s primary gaming device. There are also some other rumors that have made it pretty evident that this year fans would see a number of outstanding titles released.
Let’s take a look at everything that would probably make 2023 an exciting year for Nintendo Switch owners.
A number of new games coming to Nintendo Switch!

2023 has just started and we already have a game release coming in. Fire Emblem is Nintendo’s prime tactical RPG series. This series would see a new game releasing to it on January 20, 2023.
Fire Emblem Engage would bring a new and exciting story accompanied by stunning visuals and a bunch of new gameplay features. It’s a high-profile release that is already seeing a very positive response from the critics.

Fire Emblem Engage would then be followed by Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. This would be a spin-off and a prequel to this popular hack and Slash game series. The game would bring a whole new Okamiden-like flavor to Bayonetta fans and is genuinely looking pretty stunning.
Then Zelda fans would finally see what came after Breath of the Wild ending. Tears of the Kingdom is a direct sequel to Breath of the Wild and would be releasing May 12, 2023. And if that’s not enough, the game would also bring with it a brand new special limited edition of the Switch OLED model.
Aside from these confirmed titles, there would be two DLCs releasing for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and Indie games like Blasphemous 2 and Hollow Knight Silk song. And the most exciting of them all, the remastered ports of the Metroid Prime Trilogy. And let’s not forget the return of those adorable aliens in Pikmin 4!

Switch to bid adieu this year and make way for its successor
Aside from being its most exciting year yet, this would also be Nintendo Switch’s final year as Nintendo’s main console. Nintendo has already started planning a reveal of its successor. This console is said to be a real Switch successor and is powered by a chip that is around 4x more powerful than the previous one.
As it is powered by an Nvidia chip yet again, fans can also expect features like DLSS and RTX to show up. So 4k gaming should not be ruled out yet.
